In partnerships with LawAccess NSW, Community Legal Centres and the Aboriginal Legal Service NSW/ACT, we are located throughout the state including our Central Sydney office, 25 regional offices, and satellite and outreach offices.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for clients accessing Legal Aid NSW services in Walgett and surrounding communities, you will play an important role in helping people navigate complex legal and non-legal challenges. You will provide high-quality administrative, clerical and legal support to solicitors and legal staff, ensuring clients receive timely and professional assistance.

Working closely with local stakeholders, community organisations and service providers, you will help coordinate appointments, outreach activities and day-to-day office operations.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting access to justice for people living in rural and remote communities while contributing to the success of a close-knit regional team.

About You

You are a highly organised and adaptable administrator who enjoys working in a community-focused environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service. You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds and respond to sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism and respect.

You can effectively manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy under pressure and adapt to changing demands. As a collaborative team member, you value supporting your colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace culture. You are comfortable using a range of technology and administrative systems and are motivated by the opportunity to support access to justice and improve outcomes for people living in regional and remote NSW.

An understanding of, or willingness to develop, cultural capability when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and other diverse client groups will be highly regarded.
