About Milestone Hotel

Milestone Hotel is a well-established hospitality venue in Dubbo NSW, offering dining services to a high volume of local patrons and families. With consistent demand, the kitchen plays a key role in delivering quality food and efficient service.

The Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on role supporting food preparation and cooking across lunch and dinner service. The position is essential to maintaining food quality, consistency, and smooth kitchen operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Cook will be responsible for the following duties:

Preparing and cooking a range of dishes in accordance with menu specifications
Assisting with food preparation and mise en place for service periods
Ensuring consistency in portioning, presentation, and food quality
Operating across different kitchen sections including grill, fryer, and preparation areas
Monitoring food quality and ensuring dishes meet required standards
Assisting with stock control, storage, and rotation of ingredients
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas
Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures
Supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery
Assisting with receiving and checking deliveries

Essential Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
At least 1–2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen environment
Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality setting
Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
