About the role

Reporting to the ARC Metalcentre Manager and based at our Dubbo branch, you will lead a small team and drive revenue growth, customer retention and market share while delivering strong operational, safety and financial performance. You will set clear safety standards with a focus on compliance, while building team capability through effective people management and problem-solving.

What you will be doing:

Build a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, coaching and developing employees, holding individuals accountable for performance, and fostering a culture of ownership and engagement.
Lead and embed a proactive safety culture by setting clear standards, coaching safe behaviours, driving compliance and holding the team accountable for critical risk controls.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including SOPs, contractor management, quality assurance, maintenance programs and DIFOT performance.
Own and drive sales performance, leading from the front with customers, strengthening key relationships and executing the branch sales strategy to achieve growth targets.
Monitor financial performance, controlling costs and taking action to meet budgets, forecasts and profitability targets.
Use data and reporting to track performance, manage KPIs, and communicate operational and safety outcomes.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including process efficiencies, cost reduction and capital enhancements.

What you will bring:

Operational management experience within manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, industrial, retail or similar environments
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop teams, build capability, drive accountability and foster a high-performance culture
A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to unite sales and operations teams around shared goals and outcomes
Commercially minded, with the ability to balance customer service, operational performance and business results
A strong commitment to safety, WHS and driving consistent operational standards
Resilient, proactive and solutions-focused, with the confidence to lead change and hold teams accountable for performance
