Pre-Purchase Building Inspector WANTED - Sydney NSW| ABN required | $70 to $80/hr depending on experience, reporting quality, and inspection type.
Sydney Building & Pest Inspections is looking for an experienced residential building inspector to complete pre-purchase inspections across Sydney on an ongoing subcontract basis.
We want someone reliable, professional, and detail-oriented who can confidently communicate findings to clients and produce clear, high-quality reports.
THE WORK
- Pre-purchase residential building inspections
- Building and pest inspections for houses, townhouses, duplexes, and apartments
- Moisture, cracking, movement, waterproofing, and defect identification
- Roof space and subfloor inspections where accessible
- Auction and short-turnaround inspections
- Verbal client walkthroughs after inspection
- Written inspection reports delivered same day or next morning
- Occasional strata and investment property inspections
WHAT WE OFFER
- $70 to $80/hr ABN rate depending on inspection type and experience
- Sunday and Public Holiday rates: $85 to $95/hr
- 10 to 35 hours per week around your existing schedule
- Flexible weekday and weekend work available

WHAT WE NEED
- Experience completing residential pre-purchase inspections
- Strong understanding of residential construction and defect identification
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with buyers
- Experience producing detailed inspection reports
- Own vehicle, ladder, torch, moisture meter, and inspection tools preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and well presented
- Current ABN
- Based in Sydney

- Licensed builder
- Building consultant
- Former site supervisor or foreman
- Experienced building inspector
