KINDERGARTEN TEACHER
Sesame Kids Early Learning Centre – Drouin
Sesame Kids Early Learning Centre is seeking an experienced and passionate Kindergarten Teacher to join our family-owned and community-focused service in Drouin.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about early childhood education, understands children’s developmental needs and values building strong relationships with families, children and the wider community.
The successful applicant will play an important role in delivering a high-quality Kindergarten program while working collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
This role is expected to commence at the end of August 2026 in preparation for the service opening.
Interviews will be conducted in July 2026
About the Role:
- Deliver and lead a high-quality Kindergarten program for children
- Plan and implement an emerging curriculum with intentional teaching practices
- Build strong and respectful relationships with children and families
- Work collaboratively with families where challenges or developmental concerns may arise
- Organise and coordinate incursions and excursions within the local community
- Support children’s learning, wellbeing and development through engaging experiences
- Demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills
- Complete documentation, observations and planning in an efficient and professional manner
- Work collaboratively within a team-focused environment
- Maintain compliance with service policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Contribute positively to the service culture and community connections
For 2026, the Kindergarten program will operate as a combined 3 and 4-year-old group. In 2027, the programs will transition into separate 3-year-old and 4-year-old groups.
About You:
- Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
- Current VIT Full Registration
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
- Strong understanding of the EYLF, VEYLDF and National Quality Framework
- Experienced in Kindergarten programming and planning
- Strong understanding of children’s developmental milestones and needs
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with families and children
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively within a team
- Efficient with planning, documentation and reflective practices
- Passionate, organised and reliable
