About Us
We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator with strong all‑round workshop skills. The ideal person will be confident working independently, supporting others, and potentially stepping into a leading hand, foreman, or supervisor-style role when required.
This role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and can contribute to a busy, hands-on manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld components for a wide range of trailers and heavy bodies
- Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications accurately
- Assist with general workshop duties including cutting, fitting, assembly, and repairs
- Support junior staff and provide guidance when needed
- Maintain safe work practices and uphold OH&S standards
- Work with limited supervision and follow established processes
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused workshop environment
Skills & Experience
- Trade-qualified Welder/Fabricator (qualifications to be provided at interview)
- Strong MIG welding and structural fabrication skills
- Broad workshop experience across cutting, fitting, assembly, and general fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience as a leading hand, foreman, or supervisor is highly regarded
- Current driver’s licence (additional licences an advantage)
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
