The Opportunity

We're looking for a strategic marketing leader to own the marketing agenda for our Mobility business across Australia and Asia Pacific. This is a senior leadership role with a seat at the APAC Mobility Leadership Table — a chance to shape how a lean, high-performing marketing function drives real commercial growth across a complex, high-growth region.

You'll partner closely with Commercial, Product and Global Marketing leaders to position Marketing as a genuine growth engine — accelerating customer acquisition, strengthening retention, improving product adoption and building long-term brand value across APAC.

You'll operate within an international marketing model, drawing on specialist shared services, AI-enabled capabilities and centralised resources to work with speed and scale. And you'll play a key role in lifting marketing maturity across the region — embedding customer-led, data-driven decision-making and practical AI adoption so your team can spend more time on strategy, commercial impact and innovation.

What You'll Do

Strategy & Commercial Growth Own and evolve the end-to-end marketing strategy for APAC Mobility, ensuring every dollar of marketing investment ties back to commercial priorities — revenue growth, retention and market expansion.

Customer Lifecycle Marketing Lead integrated marketing across the full customer lifecycle — acquisition, onboarding, retention, product utilisation, cross-sell and advocacy — to lift customer lifetime value and marketing efficiency.

Go-to-Market & Product Partnership Partner with Product, Commercial and Customer Success to build go-to-market strategies, value propositions and market positioning that land product launches and accelerate adoption.

Customer & Market Insight Champion the voice of the customer, using market, customer and competitive insight to shape business decisions and uncover new commercial opportunities.

Brand & Narrative Own WEX's strategic narrative across APAC — brand, thought leadership, content, PR and partnerships — building credibility and visibility across both traditional and AI-powered discovery channels.

Marketing Maturity & Operations Lift the maturity of the marketing function: sharper processes, measurement frameworks, martech and operating rhythms, with a culture of continuous improvement.

AI-Enabled Ways of Working Lead the evolution of the APAC marketing operating model, orchestrating shared capabilities and AI-enabled ways of working with sound ethical judgement.

Team Leadership Lead, coach and grow a high-performing marketing team, building capability for the region's future growth.

Stakeholder Management Build trusted relationships across a global matrix organisation — APAC, EMEA and the US — to align priorities and deliver on shared strategic goals.

Performance & Measurement Drive a data-first culture, continuously measuring and communicating the commercial impact of marketing.

What You'll Bring

Significant experience leading B2B marketing in technology, fintech, payments, mobility or financial services, with a track record of measurable commercial growth.
Broad marketing leadership across Growth, Product Marketing, Brand, Lifecycle Marketing, Content and Communications.
A track record of building integrated go-to-market strategies, segmentation, value propositions and lifecycle programmes that move the needle on acquisition, retention and CLV.
Strong commercial acumen — you turn customer and market insight into strategic initiatives that shift business outcomes.
Experience building and coaching high-performing marketing teams.
A proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex, matrixed global organisations.
Experience leading marketing transformation and embedding customer-centric ways of working.
Confidence with modern martech, CRM and analytics platforms, plus hands-on fluency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude) — used with the judgement and rigour to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
Excellent communication and executive presence — you can simplify complexity and land it with senior audiences.
A customer-first mindset and a collaborative, growth-oriented leadership style.
