As our operations continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer to lead the development, optimisation, and reliability of our growing network infrastructure environment.
About the Role
This role is suited to a highly capable technical professional with strong experience in network engineering, systems integration, telecommunications operations, and infrastructure optimisation.
You will play a key role in designing and maintaining scalable network systems, supporting telecommunications infrastructure, and ensuring operational stability across critical services and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimise enterprise-grade network and systems infrastructure
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and related networking technologies
- Analyse network performance and proactively identify infrastructure improvements
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex network and systems incidents
- Support telecommunications and ISP infrastructure operations across multiple environments
- Monitor network reliability, redundancy, uptime, and security performance
- Implement network security standards and infrastructure protection measures
- Assist in planning and deployment of scalable telecommunications solutions
- Work closely with carriers, vendors, and technology partners on integrations and operational delivery
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, network architecture diagrams, and operational procedures
- Support disaster recovery, backup systems, and business continuity planning
- Collaborate with software developers and technical teams to ensure infrastructure compatibility and performance
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and network expansion projects
Skills & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications, or related field
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall technologies
- Experience working with ISP, telecommunications, or enterprise network environments
- Strong knowledge of network monitoring, infrastructure optimisation, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in fast-paced operational environments
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with carriers or telecommunications vendors highly regarded

AUD $85,000 – $96,000 plus superannuation
