Primary objective
Lead business analysis activities to scope, analyse and document Information Communication Technology (ICT) business requirements for
the NT urgent care ecosystem and its future integration into an NT wide coordination centre. The role will work with limited direction to
engage stakeholders, map current state processes, define future business and system requirements, support solution design and testing,
and produce high-quality documentation to inform project decisions, implementation planning and long-term service improvement.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Lead business analysis for the urgent care ecosystem and its integration with the broader system project, including requirements
elicitation, current and future state mapping, gap analysis, and the traceability of business needs and requirements through design,
testing and implementation.
2. Independently facilitate workshops, interviews and consultation activities with clinical, operational, ICT and executive stakeholders
to identify, validate and prioritise business needs across the future ecosystem and CROC functions.
3. Analyse complex and competing stakeholder requirements, resolve ambiguity, identify risks and dependencies, and provide clear
advice and recommendations to minimise implementation risks and support project, business and executive decision-making.
4. Develop high-quality business analysis documentation, including business and functional requirements, process maps, workflow
documentation, options analysis, acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
5. Work collaboratively with the Project Manager, project team and business representatives to ensure requirements align with project
scope, operational priorities, ICT constraints, governance needs and long-term service objectives.
6. Lead or coordinate testing, validation and business readiness activities, including the preparation of concise reports and briefings to
support implementation and decision-making.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated high-level experience as a business analyst in complex service delivery, service redesign or ICT-enabled change
environment, including requirements gathering, process modelling, gap analysis and development of decision-ready documentation.
2. Demonstrated ability to work with limited direction, exercise sound judgement, manage ambiguity and deliver high-quality outputs
within tight timeframes and competing priorities.
3. Highly developed stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, including the ability to consult with diverse stakeholders and
negotiate agreed requirements across complex business functions.
4. Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to understand complex business processes, identify risks and
dependencies, and translate business needs into business, functional and non-functional requirements, workflows and testable
outcomes.
5. High-level written communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to prepare clear requirements documentation, reports,
options papers and briefings while taking responsibility for the quality, completeness and timeliness of assigned deliverables.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualification/certification in Business Analysis, Project Management or similar discipline or related field.
