Primary objective
Provide high level project and contract administration advice and services to project managers to support the delivery of
Governments civil and infrastructure programs.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide advice and support to project managers and officers to ensure that projects and contracts are compliant with
business processes and accountabilities.
2. Provide all data recording, documentation and record keeping services related to assigned Capital Works projects as well
as more complex Minor New Works, Repairs and Maintenance, Consultancy and Recoverable Works Projects.
3. Process and monitor the financial administration of projects and contracts to ensure that cash flow and expenditure
targets are met.
4. Provide support, monitoring, and training to other Project Administration Staff.
5. Establish an excellent working relationship with clients and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, on all
matters relating to project administration.
6. Foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary practices and role modelling behaviour.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Ability to provide high level project and contract administration advice to Project Managers officers on assigned Capital
Works Projects as well as more complex Minor New Works, Repairs and Maintenance, Consultancy and Recoverable
Works projects.
2. Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills to explain procedures, standards and systems in a manner
suited to the needs of technical and professional staff as well and other Government agency staff in order to gain timely
cooperation.
3. High-level written skills with the ability to prepare accurate memoranda as well as comprehensive and succinct file notes.
4. Sound knowledge of mainframe or similar computerised project administration and/or financial management and
associated reporting systems as well as Microsoft related software packages.
5. High-level skills in maintaining data integrity with thoroughness, attention to detail and accuracy.
6. A sound knowledge of project and contract administration procedures and systems, including ability to understand
legislation and guidelines or demonstrated ability to develop.
7. An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
