The Role
Are you a highly competent and dedicated Mathematics teacher?
Do you thrive in creating engaging classroom environments that inspire curiosity and a love of learning? If so, CSC invites you to join our team of dedicated and dynamic educators.
We are looking for teachers who ideally possess rigorous subject knowledge and expertise in delivering the mathematics curriculum. An excellent knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum and a capacity to deliver content in an engaging manner are also desirable qualities. The ability to teach any of the Senior School courses will be an advantage: Suitable applicants should have a deep belief that every student is capable of successful learning and exhibit highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice.
Suitable applicants will ideally be able to display how they will provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve to their highest potential. In addition, the ability to engage students using a range of skills, knowledge of effective classroom management strategies and restorative practices would be highly valued. The initiative to work well with your colleagues as part of a team to develop teaching strategies, resources and approaches to ensure each student can reach their maximum potential should be addressed in your application.
Suitable applicants should have a growth mindset and be committed to the school’s Instructional Model which is based on practices that have a strong evidence base for their effectiveness. It is expected that all teachers will participate in the school’s Instructional Coaching program. Skills and knowledge in these areas will be highly desirable.
