The Team & Role
The Outpatients Administration Clerk plays a key role in supporting outpatient services by delivering a professional and welcoming reception experience for patients and visitors while ensuring smooth clinic operations. The position involves providing courteous customer service, managing patient flow, handling enquiries, and performing a range of administrative duties such as data entry, appointment scheduling, referral management, and record preparation in line with digital medical record standards. The role also requires strict adherence to confidentiality, privacy regulations, and organisational policies, alongside maintaining accurate patient information within administration systems. Working collaboratively with clinical staff and stakeholders, the clerk supports efficient service delivery and provides additional administrative assistance as needed.

Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Understands, and is able to use, common software applications, Microsoft office.
- Effective, clear and courteous reception & customer service communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to patient-centered care, upholding privacy and confidentiality standards in all interactions.
Desirable
- Previous experience in an administrative or reception role (healthcare experience preferred).
- Demonstrated competency in medical terminology.
- Experience with iPM patient processing system. (Outpatient processing component).
- Ability to manage a multi-line telephone systems
