1. Minimum Qualification (Machine Operation)
- Certificate II or III in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
- Basic training or certification in CNC machine operation
- Demonstrated experience operating industrial machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
2. Desired Qualifications
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (MEM30319) or equivalent
- CNC programming or CAD/CAM training (e.g., nesting software experience)
- Forklift Licence (LF)
- Overhead crane or dogging licence (highly desirable)
- Workplace Health & Safety training (e.g., White Card or equivalent)
3. Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years’ experience operating CNC fibre laser cutting machines (or similar CNC equipment)
- Experience working with sheet metal (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium)
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
- Experience in machine setup, parameter adjustment, and job changeovers
- Exposure to production environments with tight deadlines
4. Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of CNC machine operations and cutting processes
- Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings accurately
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good numerical and measurement skills
- Familiarity with nesting software and machine control systems
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Time management and ability to meet production targets
- Basic computer literacy
