About the role
This is a full-time Supervisor role based in Croydon South, VIC 3136 at CMA Roofing, a leading construction company in the local area. As a Supervisor, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of construction projects, overseeing a team of skilled tradespeople and coordinating all on-site activities.
What you'll be doing
- Supervising and coordinating the work of construction crews to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
- Scheduling and allocating tasks to team members, monitoring progress and taking corrective action as needed
- Ensuring all construction activities adhere to relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing effective solutions
- Mentoring and developing team members to enhance their skills and capabilities
What we're looking for
- Significant experience (5+ years) as a Supervisor or Foreperson in the construction industry, preferably in the metal roofing sector
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials and equipment used in metal roofing projects
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints and specifications
- Proficient in the use of construction management software and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with team members, clients and other stakeholders
- Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to deliver high-quality results
- Relevant construction-related qualifications or certifications
