With a significant growth of its operations in Australia in its core competency, which is underground engineering, we are seeking a full-time motivated BIM Modelling and CAD Drafter to integrate into our design team. The role requires to be fully conversant with AutoCAD 2D with proven capabilities also in 3D and Revit highly desirable, with an understanding and motivation to embrace new BIM tools.
Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Setting up, developing and finalizing BIM models with all required metadata for submission with support of the BIM Manager and project DE Lead
· Preparation of drawings (in CAD or BIM environment) covering GA plans and section, details of concrete and steel support structures, construction sequences, detailing RC reinforcement, largely out of BIM models.
· collecting data and inspecting work and materials for compliance
· Provide a full model - including RC reinforcement when required – with all required metadata and in the export formats established in the Digital Engineering Execution Plan;
· Review and check drawings standard to be compliant to Australian Standards quality and project-specific requirements.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
· Relevant qualification with minimum 5 years + years of relevant experience in underground linear civil infrastructure projects;
· Specific BIM training certification – Revit – highly desirable (otherwise must be experienced in BIM by proven practice).
· Experience in:
o Structural CAD drafting for underground projects including SEM tunnels, cut & cover structures, foundations, slope stabilization;
o Preparation of structural detailing for RC steel reinforcement and steel structures;
o Preparation of segmentally lined tunnel drawings highly desirable;
o BIM knowledge and use in previous projects
· Strong listening and verbal English communication skills;
· Good attention to detail with the ability to deliver high quality results within time constraints; Excellent time management and teamwork capabilities;
