The role
Help deliver some of Australia’s leading sporting and entertainment events at Sydney Olympic Park. In this role, you’ll work across multiple venues including Quaycentre, Hockey Centre and Sports Halls, coordinating a diverse range of events such as school speech weeks, graduations, concerts, community and corporate events, and national and international sporting competitions.
You’ll be hands-on in planning and delivering events end-to-end, from supporting enquiries and contracts through to event day delivery. Working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, you’ll manage competing priorities, coordinate stakeholders and ensure events are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard, while contributing to venue utilisation, revenue and overall customer experience.

What you will bring to the role
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in event coordination, ideally within sporting, entertainment, convention centre or local government venues
- Strong experience managing stakeholders including clients, contractors, security, catering and operational teams
- Proven ability to coordinate and deliver multiple events simultaneously, while managing competing deadlines and priorities
- Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt when event plans change
- Experience across event logistics including bump-in/bump-out, contractor coordination, risk management and event day operations
- Strong customer focus and communication skills, with confidence working in a client-facing environment
- Sound understanding of venue operations, including safety, risk and operational requirements
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and event/booking or CRM systems; exposure to financial systems (e.g. invoicing, MWZ) highly regarded
- Ability to take ownership, solve problems proactively and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Availability to work weekends as required by the event schedule
- Highly regarded is the flexibility to work additional hours during major event periods to support operational requirements. Applicable penalty rates and loadings will apply.
What is an essential requirement:
- Current driver licence
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
- A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012.
