Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.
The Senior Pharmacist – Dispensary, Inventory & Informatics provides strategic and operational leadership across dispensary services, medication inventory management, and pharmacy informatics to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant medication distribution. The role oversees dispensary operations, PBS claiming, stock control, logistics, and cold chain monitoring systems, while optimising workflows and inventory processes to enhance service delivery and minimise risks such as shortages and wastage. It is responsible for developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and operational guidelines, as well as advancing pharmacy information systems (including iPharmacy and HS8) to support high-quality, data-driven care. The position also leads workforce capability through training, supervision, and competency development, establishes performance measures and compliance frameworks, and collaborates with multidisciplinary stakeholders to drive service improvement, quality initiatives, and patient-centred medication management across the organisation.
