Costerfield Operations, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated in Central Victoria, east of Bendigo and surrounded by numerous towns within a 50km radius, offering a variety of residential options.
Our current operation runs an underground mine and processing plant that is responsible for producing gold and antimony. The mine's workforce consists of over 250 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.

We are seeking a Heavey Diesel Fitter to join our team at Costerfield Operations. This role is ideal for an experienced Mechanic wanting to work underground in a dynamic mining environment and still being able to come home to your family every day.
About The Role
We’re looking for experienced fitters that value safety, integrity, responsibility, excellent performance, innovation, value creation, and agility to join our team!
The key responsibilities of the role include:
· Join an experienced, agile team with a positive culture
· Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy mining equipment
· Maintain high standard in preventative maintenance and repairs
· Provide breakdown support for underground mobile equipment
· Overhaul major machinery
· Collaborate with a team of Fitters on machinery rebuilds
About You
- Relevant Australian Trade Certificate
- Experience in handling breakdown and performing repairs on heavy equipment
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
- Proactive approach to tasks and ability to positively interact with others
- Experience in diagnosing hydraulic and auto electrical issues
- Able to read and interpret schematics
Strong ability to identify and solve problems efficiently
