Coffs Harbour Hardwoods is a leading supplier of hardwood utility poles and timber products to electrical authorities and major infrastructure projects throughout Australia.
We are currently seeking a reliable, safety-focused HC Crane Truck Driver to join our team based in Glenreagh, NSW.
This full-time role involves delivering hardwood utility poles throughout New South Wales and Victoria, with backloads to anywhere from Victoria to Queensland. Drivers are generally away from home 4–5 nights per week, returning home most weekends.
You'll be operating modern Kenworth K200 crane trucks fitted with hydraulic loading cranes while working alongside a friendly and experienced team. We offer stable, year-round employment with an annual Christmas shutdown.
About the Role
As a Crane Truck Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering hardwood utility poles and timber products safely and efficiently.
- Operating a truck-mounted hydraulic crane to unload products at customer sites.
- Securing loads in accordance with transport regulations.
- Completing daily vehicle pre-start inspections.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of your allocated vehicle.
- Carrying out minor vehicle maintenance and reporting defects.
- Completing delivery paperwork and electronic delivery dockets.
- Providing professional and courteous customer service at delivery sites.
- Working safely and complying with all Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
All trucks are loaded by our yard team before departure. Drivers are responsible for the safe transportation and unloading of deliveries using the truck-mounted crane. Some tarping of backloads may also be required.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
Essential
- Current HC Driver Licence.
- Current Vehicle Loading Crane (CV) Licence.
- Strong commitment to safe work practices.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel away from home during the working week.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Desirable
- Experience operating truck-mounted hydraulic cranes.
- Experience transporting long or oversized loads.
