Support safe manual handling and mobility using hoists and other aids.
-
Follow individual care plans to meet health needs such as epilepsy or wound care.
-
Prepare meals and assist with mealtimes in line with mealtime management plans.
-
Enable customers to participate in everyday activities — from household tasks to social and community outings.
You will be surrounded by an experienced, supportive team who’ll help you grow your skills and build a rewarding career in disability support.
About You:
We are looking for someone who’s caring, adaptable, and ready to make a real difference every day. You don’t just see tasks — you see people, and you meet them where they are with empathy and respect.
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
-
A flexible approach to work — you’re happy to support across various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
-
Experience working in Supported Independent Living and providing personal care.
-
Experience in managing behaviours of concern, administering medication and manual handling.
You may already have experience in disability support — but it’s not essential. We recognise that the right mindset and transferable skills are just as important as direct experience.
We welcome applicants from a range of backgrounds, including hospitality, aged care, childcare, education, and community services, where skills like communication, teamwork, and supporting others can strongly transfer into disability support.
We encourage applications from people who bring strengths such as:
-
Providing care and support with empathy and respect.
-
Communicating clearly and building positive relationships.
-
Safely handling physical tasks, including mobility support.
-
Staying calm and solution-focused in challenging situations.
-
Following routines while adapting to individual needs.
-
Supporting independence and everyday life skills.
-
Working well both in a team and independently.
-
Keeping environments safe, clean and organised.
-
Managing time effectively across varying shifts and tasks.
If you are someone who is reliable, caring, and motivated to learn, we can provide the training and support to help you transition successfully into the disability sector.
