About the role

Join Freight Movement as a full-time Heavy Haulage Driver based in Coolac, NSW. As a Heavy Haulage Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of oversized and heavy freight across the state. This is a crucial role that supports the company’s mission to deliver essential goods and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Rural Operations – Site Foreman responsibilities
On-site supervision of Freight Movement personnel
Operating heavy haulage vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and specialised transport equipment
Conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance
Completing logbooks and maintaining accurate records of journeys, hours, and deliveries
Coordinating pickup and delivery schedules
Securing and checking loads in accordance with legal weight and dimension requirements
Obtaining permits and documentation for oversized or heavy loads, including route planning and road restriction assessments
Conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety obligations
Assisting with loading, unloading, and securing oversized machinery and equipment at project sites

What we’re looking for

A valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s licence (MC preferred)
Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy haulage or similar driving roles
Familiarity with the road network in New South Wales and surrounding areas
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and customer service skills
