We are looking for talented Hair Stylists across our 3 Sydney salons! Bronte, Balmain, CBD David Jones.

This is not an ordinary job, this is an opportunity that will have you on the floor one day, and at the races the next, or at magazine editorials, brushing with influencers, TV personalities, excited brides and everyone in between. We have an in-house podcast and photography studio, a constant stream of events, and some exciting growth plans in place.

COVID is old news – We’re back, and ready to get this party started. We’re now accepting applications from hairdressers that are looking for a new, vibrant salon culture where no two days are the same, to call home.

Job brief:

We are looking for a Hairdresser & Stylist to create flawless hairstyles for our customers.

Responsibilities include styling hair using basic and advanced techniques, consulting customers about styles and applying hair care products.

If you have experience styling short and long hair and are up-to-date with styling trends, we would love to meet you!

Ultimately, you will ensure all customers leave our salon satisfied with our services and feel happy with their new looks.

Responsibilities:

Welcome customers and identify their preferences by asking pointed questions
Wash, rinse and dry clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners (e.g. for oily hair or dry scalp)
Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails and buns
Apply hair treatment products, as needed (e.g. color protection creams and hydrating masks)
Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences
Manage bookings and serve walk-ins
Ensure tidiness of beauty stations and sterilize tools, as needed
Cross-sell hair care products or services, when appropriate

Requirements and skills:

Work experience as a Hairdresser, Hair Stylist or similar role
Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers
Hands-on experience with various styling and cutting techniques
Knowledge of a wide range of hair styling, suitable for all hair lengths (e.g. braids and top knots)
Up-to-date with industry trends
Excellent communication skills
Physical stamina to stand for long hours
Flexibility to work in shifts

Salary: $55,000-$65,000 p.a. plus great benefits
