About Us
Busy old-fashioned country pub located in Cloncurry, 1 hour west of Mount Isa. It is the popular Pub in town, and the liquor store within the hotel and gaming and bistro.
Our liquor shop, Cellarbration is a busy local known for its friendly service and great range of beers, wines and spirits, the cellar is an important part of the venue and a favourite stop for locals.
Our Cellarbration store proudly supports local community events, private parties, and major rodeo events throughout the town. We are committed to being part of the community by helping celebrate special occasions and supporting the vibrant local event scene.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations across our gaming, bar, and bottle shop departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the bottle shop, bar, and gaming areas
- Supervise, train, and manage a team of staff
- Prepare staff rosters and manage labour costs
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve revenue
- Handle financial reporting, cash control, and daily reconciliations
- Undertaking all the financial transactions, reconciliations and Cashing Up, TAB, Keno and pokies(Gaming)
- Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing, RSA and RSG regulations
- Maintain high levels of customer service and resolve customer issues
- Promote products and special offers through social media platforms such as Facebook and local community pages to increase customer reach and engagement.
- Ensure smooth coordination between all departments
Skills & Experience
- 3 years’ experience in retail or hospitality management
- Proven ability to manage multiple departments (liquor, bar, gaming preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good understanding of stock control and financial management
- Knowledge of RSA and RSG requirements (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Salary & Benefits
- $75,000 – $80,000 per year + superannuation
- Full-time permanent position (38 hours per week)
