We are looking for Pavements and Aviation Engineering Intern to join our Melbourne team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience on real-world transport and aviation projects while learning from experienced engineers and planners in a collaborative environment.
How you'll make a difference:

Build your technical skills and industry knowledge while working alongside experienced engineers and transport planners.

Assist with gathering and organising engineering data using established procedures and systems.

Support the delivery of transport and traffic engineering projects by contributing to technical calculations, analysis and project documentation.

Learn how engineering standards and guidelines are applied in the planning and design of transport infrastructure.

Contribute to developing innovative solutions that address real-world transport and mobility challenges.

Gain exposure to safe systems principles and how they are used to create safer outcomes for all road users.

Assist with projects that plan and improve the movement of people across different transport modes, including aviation, roads, public transport, walking and cycling.

Participate in project meetings, site visits and multidisciplinary collaboration to build practical engineering experience.

Qualifications

Summer Intern attributes: Interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment. You'll bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.

Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering with a strong interest in working in pavements for aviation and highways.

Commencement: Able to work full time hours from 16 November 2026 – 19 February 2027.

Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in Australia or New Zealand before applying. We do accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
