Full Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand / Cook to join our hotpot restaurant team. The successful candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure food safety standards are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation

Wash, peel, cut, and prepare vegetables, meats, seafood, and other ingredients.
Portion and organize ingredients according to kitchen requirements.
Prepare soup bases, sauces, condiments, and side dishes under supervision.
Replenish ingredients and supplies during service periods.

Cooking

Follow recipes and preparation guidelines accurately.
Monitor food quality and freshness
Basic cooking stir fried

Kitchen Operations

Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Wash kitchen utensils, equipment, and cookware.
Receive, check, and store deliveries according to food safety standards.
Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
Dispose of waste and recyclables appropriately.

Health & Safety

Follow food hygiene and sanitation procedures.
Comply with workplace health and safety regulations.
Ensure proper handling and storage of food products.
Report equipment faults or safety hazards to management.

Requirements

Previous kitchen, restaurant, or food preparation experience preferred but not essential.
Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow instructions and recipes.
Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Desirable Qualifications

Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
Basic knife-handling and food preparation skills.
