This newly created executive role presents a rare opportunity to shape the future direction of a major public education institution.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will provide enterprise-wide leadership across governance, strategic planning, educational quality, academic assurance, institutional performance, risk and compliance. As a trusted adviser to the Board, Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team, you will play a central role in ensuring Holmesglen remains at the forefront of educational excellence, organisational effectiveness and regulatory integrity.
You will lead the development and execution of the Institute's strategic agenda, embed robust governance and quality frameworks, and drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and evidence-based decision-making. The role also carries responsibility for strengthening academic governance, enhancing educator capability, overseeing corporate and statutory reporting, and maintaining productive relationships with regulators, government agencies and key external stakeholders.

To be successful, you’ll have:

Significant executive or senior leadership experience within vocational education, higher education, senior secondary education or similarly complex public sector environments.

Deep expertise in governance, risk, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and strategic planning.

Demonstrated success leading large-scale organisational improvement, transformation and change initiatives.

Strong understanding of academic governance frameworks and contemporary education quality standards.

Exceptional ability to influence, collaborate and build trusted relationships with boards, government, regulators, industry and executive stakeholders.

A proven track record of delivering strategic outcomes through high-performing teams and evidence-based leadership.

Highly developed strategic, analytical and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to navigate complexity and competing priorities.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, management, business, public administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of executive leadership experience and qualifications

WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
