We are seeking a Program Architect / Principal Technology Consultant to serve as a hands-on technology partner for enterprise clients. Working closely with senior technology stakeholders, this role leads architecture workstreams across AI adoption, Platform Engineering, and digital transformation programs, translating business intent into coherent, scalable solutions.

Location: Melbourne, Australia.

Salary: AUD 127,971-141,157 AUD Annual Gross.

Please Note: - The above salary range is only indicative and maybe subject to suitable enhancements, based on internal company processes.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory & Client Engagement

Partner with senior technology leaders to define AI adoption roadmaps, digital transformation strategies, and technology investment priorities.
Facilitate co-design workshops and architecture sessions and translate business goals into actionable technology plans.
Build trusted client relationships, communicating architecture decisions and trade-offs clearly to both executive and technical audiences.

Program & Solution Architecture

Lead architecture workstreams within large-scale transformation programs, ensuring consistency across solution components and delivery squads.
Develop architecture artefacts including reference architectures, solution blueprints, integration designs, and technology decisions.
Apply enterprise architecture principles across business, data, application, and technology domains to define target-state architectures and support business case development.
Define and maintain enterprise architecture roadmaps, aligning technology evolution with business strategy and program delivery milestones.

AI & Platform Engineering

Design and support delivery of AI-enabled solutions including generative AI, intelligent automation, and predictive analytics.
Contribute to platform engineering initiatives covering cloud-native infrastructure, developer platforms, CI/CD, and containerisation.
Align AI/ML workloads with appropriate infrastructure, tooling, and MLOps practices and promote responsible AI principles.

Governance & Team Development

Establish architecture governance practices including design principles, review checkpoints, and decision frameworks.
Mentor junior architects and engineers and contribute to practice development through knowledge sharing and reusable assets.

Required Skills & Experience

12+ years in technology/solutions architecture, with 2+ years in program architecture, platform engineering, or AI-led transformation.
Hands-on experience with AI/ML domains including generative AI, intelligent automation, and practical solution design.
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native architecture patterns.
Familiarity with platform engineering covering Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and developer experience platforms.
Working knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and delivery methodologies (Agile, SAFe).
Strong communication skills with the ability to produce clear architecture documentation and engage executive stakeholders.
Cross-industry exposure across two or more of the following verticals: Banking, Financial Services, Utilities or Retail.
Prior experience in a technology consulting or advisory firm is desirable.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Professional certifications in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) or architecture (TOGAF, CASP) are advantageous.
Ability to communicate clearly in English across executive and technical audiences.
