Want a job where you’re not stuck behind a desk all day? We are looking for a duct cleaning labourer to join our growing team at an established leader in commercial and industrial HVAC hygiene.
We clean the stuff most people never think about, ductwork, air-conditioning systems, kitchen exhausts, fans and everything in between. It’s hands on, physical, sometimes challenging, but it is easy to pick up and not your average 9 to 5 job.
The best part is you don’t need to know everything on day one. We will train you, teach you the ins and outs and give you the equipment and support to become bloody good at it.
You will work alongside experienced technicians on a range of commercial sites, helping keep buildings cleaner, healthier and their air-conditioning systems running properly.
What You will Be Doing -
- Helping the team set up equipment and get ready to tackle the job.
- Using industrial vacuum systems, air compressors, brushes and power tools.
- Cleaning dust, dirt, debris, mould and other contaminants from HVAC systems.
- Crawling through ceilings, climbing ladders, working on roofs and in plantrooms.
- Assisting technicians with inspections and remediation works.
- Installing and sealing access panels.
- Keeping tools, equipment and vehicles clean and ready to go.
- Following SWMS, safety procedures and wearing the right PPE.
- Working with the team to get the job done properly not just quickly.
- Reporting any damage, defects or issues you find along the way.
What we are looking for – We are not necessarily looking for someone with years of experience. We are looking for someone with the right attitude.
- Reliable and turn up when you are supposed to.
- Physically fit and happy to get your hands dirty.
- Comfortable working in ceilings and confined spaces.
- Able to use basic hand and power tools.
- Willing to learn and take direction.
- Someone who takes pride in doing a good job.
- Comfortable working as part of a team.
- Safety conscious and switched on.
- Keen to develop a career rather than just collect a pay cheque.
What you need-
- Valid Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- White Card (essential).
- Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
Experience & Tickets - These are great to have, but not essential.
- Previous duct cleaning or HVAC experience.
- Working at Heights.
- Confined Space.
- EWP.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
What's the Job Like
You will be working across commercial and industrial sites, both indoors and outdoors. Some jobs are during normal business hours, while others need to be completed at night when buildings are empty. There will be plenty of variety in jobs with a majority completed throughout the night.
If you're looking for a job where you sit in the same spot every day, this probably isn't it. If you like staying active, working with your hands, learning new skills and finishing the day knowing you've achieved something, this is it.
Why work with us?
We are serious about our work, but we don't believe work has to suck. We are looking for someone who wants to learn, work hard, have a laugh with the team and build something for themselves.
You don't need to be a HVAC expert, you just need to show up, work hard, listen, learn and care about doing a good job.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
