We are currently recruiting Enrolled Nurses to join the Wyong Hospital Emergency Department. These positions involve working a 24/7 rotating roster, including 12-hour shifts across days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
We are recruiting talented Enrolled Nurses across a range of experience levels to join the Wyong Hospital Emergency Department.

The Enrolled Nurse is an integral part of the nursing team, working under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse to support and care for patients. The Enrolled Nurse undertakes nursing interventions to the level and scope of practice, to support the patient/client to achieve their health and wellbeing goal sand coordinates nursing and health care to facilitate positive health outcomes.
The Enrolled Nurse operates in a collaborative care model, communicating effectively with patients, carers, and other healthcare team members/colleagues regarding nursing care to support outcomes which meet the patient/client needs.
About the Role
As an Enrolled Nurse in the Wyong Hospital Emergency Department, you will play an essential role in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care to patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. You will:

Provide nursing care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with your scope of practice.

Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patients' clinical conditions in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Deliver evidence-based care across a variety of clinical areas, including Adult Emergency, Fast Track, the Short Stay Unit (SSU), and Paediatrics.

Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, medical officers, allied health professionals, and the multidisciplinary team to provide timely and coordinated patient care.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and carers, providing education, support, and compassionate care throughout their emergency department journey.

Contribute to a positive team culture and participate in ongoing learning and professional development opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills.

About You
You will bring a strong commitment to high-quality community care and a passion for helping people maintain their health, independence, and dignity. You will have:
Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner regulation Agency as an Enrolled Nurse (Division with a Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approved qualification for administration of medication.

You have recent experience in acute care nursing and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice

You have effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and sound written, verbal and interpersonal skills

You have an understanding of team nursing and ability to effectively prioritise and organise your own workload.
