Role description
An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead and manage Ellery House Residential Care Unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.
As a key leader within the healthcare team, you will provide strong leadership and role modelling while overseeing clinical governance, workforce management, and operational performance. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with current practice standards, organisational policies, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure care is delivered to the highest possible standard

Monitor and report on clinical KPIs monthly

Lead audits, incident management, and quality improvement initiatives

Ensure compliance with care minutes and accurate data collection

Recruit, retain, and develop a skilled and capable workforce

Manage staffing levels to meet service and budget requirements

Oversee performance management and professional development

Ensure 100% completion of annual staff appraisals

Maintain and report on staff profiles

Manage unit budgets, resources, and business planning

Monitor business KPIs and organisational performance targets

Oversee asset and supply management

Lead meetings and contribute to strategic planning

Promote a strong safety culture with patient-centred care

Monitor safety KPIs and lead OH&S initiatives

Review incidents and complaints promptly and ensure closure within 30 days

Analyse patient feedback and lead service improvements
