Role Overview
We are seeking a Registered Nurse committed to delivering high-quality, resident-focused care in accordance with best practice guidelines, Aged Care Quality Standards, and organisational values. You will collaborate closely with residents, families, care staff, allied health professionals, and the Director of Nursing to ensure safe, respectful, and effective care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Resident Support
- Deliver personalised nursing care in line with clinical policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Safely administer and monitor medications
- Provide care for residents with complex needs, including wound management, continence care, infection prevention, personal care, and chronic condition management
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Uphold residents’ dignity, rights, privacy, and overall wellbeing
Leadership & Team Support
- Supervise and guide Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers
- Promote a positive, professional, and respectful team environment
- Support staff mentoring, training, and professional development
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Participate in accreditation processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Adhere to infection control, WHS, and organisational policies
- Complete incident reporting and assist with risk management activities
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Assist with resident assessments, admissions, transfers, and care planning
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders
Mandatory Criteria
- Bachelor of Nursing qualification
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Valid National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced care setting
- Genuine commitment to supporting older people and individuals living with disability
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in aged care
- Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and ACFI / AN-ACC
- Additional clinical or leadership qualifications
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
