$46.00 Hourly Rate + Overtime Opportunities!
Mulgrave/Mordialloc Location - Easily Accessible!
Afternoon Shift 2:00PM - 10:00PM

Transcend are looking for brake press operators to start ASAP in Mulgrave! If you are looking for stable work close to home, this could be the job for you! This company are a part of one of Australia's largest Sheetmetal manufacturing and fabrication groups, great benefits are included!

Position Description

Set up and operate SWI sheet metal folder machines to cut, fold and bend sheet metal products.

Read and interpret product plans, work orders, and production schedules to determine the required specifications for each job.
Load tooling as per program.
Inspect metal whilst shaping it and make adjustments to feed rate and speed based on material thickness and type as needed.
Perform run, bend and forming operations with standard and custom punches.
Measure for quality against required tolerances.
Check final products to ensure no defects.
Monitor supply levels.
Maintain accurate records of items produced.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Keep work area clean and tidy.
Adhere to safety policies and regulations.

Duties

Ability to follow working instructions and work autonomously.
Ability to work with tight tolerances.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Detail oriented, eye for detail.
Dexterity and hand and eye coordination.
Mechanical aptitude.
Understanding of safety standards.
A desire to produce quality work.

Criteria

Prior experience working in a production environment.
Desirable experience working in a fabrication production environment.
Experience using measuring equipment.
Previous experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication setting.
