Own the Engine That Drives a Growing Private Wealth Business!
The Opportunity
Aureus Private Wealth has built something real: a genuine pipeline of high-quality clients, a dedicated advice and implementation team, and a reputation that continues to grow through referrals. What we need now is someone who can own the operational core — the practice manager who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks, the client experience is consistently excellent, and the team has what it needs to do great work.
This is not a coordination role. This is a leadership role with its own client responsibilities, compliance accountability, and team to develop. If you are someone who thrives on having a lot on your plate, takes pride in a clean pipeline, and wants to be close to real financial planning work rather than filing in the background, this is your role.
What You Will Own
Three things. The pipeline. The client meetings. The team.
The pipeline is yours to run.
Every client in the Aureus Wealth division moves through a tracked journey from onboarding through advice production, implementation, and annual review. You keep that pipeline moving. You set the paraplanning priority list every Monday. You run case rundown meetings with the Implementation and Research teams every Tuesday. You chase stuck cases, investigate insurance complications, and make sure advisers are briefed before they walk into a client meeting — not after.
The client meetings are yours to run.
You will conduct Fact Find meetings with new clients to capture their complete financial picture, Implementation meetings to walk clients through their advice and complete their paperwork, and Sprint sessions to handle ad hoc client questions between reviews. You will be the face of Aureus operations for these clients — knowledgeable, prepared, and professional every time.
The team is yours to develop.
You will run the weekly L10 meeting with the full Wealth team. You will deliver insurance training for Research Associates and Paraplanners at least fortnightly. You will onboard new staff members from Day 1 through to full operational readiness within four weeks. And you will have the direct, honest conversations that make a team better.
Why This Matters
Aureus Private Wealth operates under its own AFSL. That means every FDS, every compliance check, every file note, and every escalation decision sits with the firm — not with a licensee above us. The Practice Manager role is the operational compliance function of the Wealth division. When this role works well, the advisory team serves more clients with less friction, the team develops faster, and the business grows without the chaos that kills growing firms.
The person in this role will work directly to Head of Wealth and will have a direct line to CEO. This is a senior operational role with genuine influence over how the business runs.
What Success Looks Like After 90 Days
Zero missed FDS obligations since your start date. The compliance calendar is owned, not monitored.
The advisory team has not had to chase the pipeline. Cases arrive at their desk ready, not stuck.
Every client meeting you have conducted has a file note in My Prosperity within 24 hours and the client knows exactly what happens next.
Who You Are
You have worked in a financial planning practice before and you understand how the machinery works — research, paraplanning, implementation, and the compliance obligations underneath all of it.
You do not wait to be told a case is stuck. You check the tracker and you fix it.
You are as comfortable in a client meeting as you are in a team briefing. You read the room, you stay in your lane (you know the boundary between explaining advice and giving advice), and clients leave your meetings feeling looked after.
You give direct feedback. You do not let a performance issue sit for three months before saying something.
Systems discipline is not something you do when you remember — it is how you work. Xplan, Asana, and the Master Tracker are updated the same day, every day.
