Full Job Description

Title: Industrial Painter

Location: Newcastle, NSW, AU, 2300

The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking a qualified Painter to join our Hunter Water Treatment team. You'll be doing corrosion maintenance work across our sites - keeping critical water infrastructure in top condition.

What you'll be responsible for

Corrosion maintenance and painting work on municipal water treatment equipment
Preventive maintenance and fixing defects as they come up
Using tablets and apps to log jobs and track work
Planning your own maintenance tasks and managing your workload
Getting permits sorted and following safety procedures
Keeping the work area tidy and organised
Helping out with other site work when needed
Working with contractors and making sure jobs are done right
Training apprentices and helping out your teammates

What you'll need to be successful

Painter trade certificate
Experience working on heavy equipment
Good with computers and apps
Can communicate well with the team and contractors
