We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Electrical Engineering Technician to
support the delivery of electrical and photovoltaic (PV) projects throughout Western
Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and solar
power systems.
Prepare technical drawings, layouts, schematics, and documentation for electrical
and photovoltaic installations.
Conduct inspections, fault finding, diagnostics, and performance testing of electrical
equipment and solar systems.
Support project planning activities including load calculations, technical assessments,
and cost estimations.
Monitor compliance with Australian electrical standards, workplace health and safety
requirements, and company procedures.
Coordinate with electricians, installers, contractors, and project managers to ensure
efficient project execution and delivery.
Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of inverters, switchboards, battery
storage systems, and associated electrical equipment.
Record technical data, prepare reports, and maintain accurate project and
maintenance documentation.
Conduct testing of electrical systems and equipment in support of Electrical
Engineers and Engineering Technologists.
Prepare charts, tabulations, and technical reports relating to system performance and
project activities.
Skills and Experience
Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in electrical systems and/or solar PV installations.
Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and safety regulations.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams.
Desirable
Experience in renewable energy or solar industry projects.
Familiarity with inverters, battery systems, switchboards, and electrical testing
equipment.
Current driver’s licence.
White Card.
