Full Job Description

We are looking for caring Dental Assistant & Reception staff who can play an important part in our dental practice providing specialist dental services. The role on offer will be a casual position with immediate start. Permanent position will be offered to the right applicant after a period of successful employment. This key position will focus predominantly on patient care, communication as well as some administration duties. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality, patient focused care seeking a vibrant, engaging, and resourceful member to enhance our dental team. You will work alongside specialist dentist, existing support staff to carry out dental treatment/root canal therapy. We are looking for reliable, hard-working team member who will become part of our practice for the long term.

Although, training will be provided, prior experience in a Dental Receptionist or Dental Assistant role would be beneficial. Would welcome eagerness to learn new skills with opportunities for continuing professional training and career development.

Remuneration on offer will be based on performance and experience with incentives considered from time to time.

About the Position

It is expected that the team member will have or learn the skills to assist in the surgery when required and are also expected to be able to assist at the front desk from time to time.

As the successful candidate, you will be professional, caring, and passionate about your job. You will be methodical and systematic with your duties and enjoy the challenge of a collaborative and dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

Reliable, punctual
Good communication skills
Friendly and caring personality
Previous experience in dental Assisting/reception with Infection control knowledge will be an advantage
Knowledge of sterilisation procedures and instrument storage preferable

Providing chair-side assistance (e.g. handing equipment to dentists and instrument setup)
Assisting with administrative tasks as needed (e.g. billing, maintaining patient records)
Routinely maintaining and sterilising equipment
Assisting with front office tasks as needed (e.g. reception)

Job Duties:

Greeting visitors, chair side assisting
Scheduling appointments
Correspondence
Stocking supplies
Answering and routing phone calls

Financial Duties:

Processing payments

Work Remotely
