Freighter Group is a leading name in Australia’s transport manufacturing industry. We’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused Yard Hand / Tug Driver to support our busy Campbelltown operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, active work and wants to be part of a team that keeps our workshop running efficiently.
The Role
You’ll play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of trailers across our yard and workshop, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate the yard tug to move and position trailers
- Coordinate trailer movements between bays, wash areas, and storage zones
- Perform basic safety checks (brakes, lights, couplings) before moving equipment
- Support workshop teams with general yard duties
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free environment
- Communicate with technicians and supervisors to keep workflow moving
What We’re Looking For
- Current driver’s licence (MC preferred or tug experience advantageous)
- Experience in a yard, workshop, or transport environment (ideal but not essential)
- Strong safety awareness around moving equipment
- Reliable, self-motivated, and hands-on
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
