About the Role

ANZ’s Small Business Banking area is an exciting business providing a full range of solutions to small businesses around Australia. Our customer focused proposition and enthusiastic, committed team has helped generate significant growth and we now have a number of opportunities for business to business sales professionals to join us and help build our success further.

Hold deep conversations with customers to add value, uncover and meet financial needs
Find and grow opportunities for new business through identifying customer’s core needs

You’ll be critical in driving new customer acquisitions and play a critical role for ANZ, increasing funds under management by providing business finance solutions to customers.

You’ll work as part of a high performance, collaborative team and people from different industries and segments. This variety makes the role interesting and provides a great opportunity to build valuable, highly transferable experience. No two days will be the same, but every day will be focused on bringing new customers to ANZ so we can support them to start, grow or run their business.

This role can lead to many career pathways within our Business and Private Bank division and across the rest of ANZ. Whichever pathway is right for you, there are inspiring leaders and tailored learning opportunities to give you the skills and accreditation you need to go after it.

Work Hours: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)

What will your day look like?

As a Small Business Lending Specialist, you will uncover your customer’s needs and recommend a tailored banking solution to create value for their business. Immersing yourself in the team, you will grow revenue through deposits, lending and share of wallet through origination of new small business customers to ANZ, business development and undertaking health checks for existing ANZ Small Business customer.

Drive a structured, disciplined weekly operating rhythm to drive strong sales momentum
Use data & insights to engage potential and existing customers and identify opportunities
Utilise your credit skills to prepare and submit quality lending applications
Deliver excellent customer outcomes and experiences

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Must have:

Professional phone manner/etiquette
Excellent communication skills
Adhering to structured roster/operating rhythm

Good to have:

Understanding of small business & commercial markets
Understanding of Money In, Managing Money, Money Out and cash flow concepts
Thorough knowledge of ANZ procedure, products and services
