Full Job Description

Our studio specializes in boudoir, maternity, newborn, family and portrait photography so were looking for someone who loves making people feel confident, beautiful and comfortable in front of the camera.

We're looking for an experienced and reliable hair and make up artist to join our photography studio team.

Your primary role will be providing professional hair and make up for our clients before their photography session.

Applicant must have a min of 1 year experience as a make up and hair artist.
strong communication skills and fluency in english are essential.

This is a multi-skilled studio role, so you'll be required to assist with general duties and administrative duties when needed.

Responsibilities include:

make up application
styling hair
assisting with bookings and responding to client inquiries
answering phone calls and communicating professionally with clients
completing basic computer and administrative tasks
keeping the studio and make up stations organised, clean and presentable
supporting the photography team during busy periods
assisting with general day to day studio operations.

The ideal candidate will be:

● Experienced in professional hair and makeup

● Confident working with a diverse range of clients

● Warm, friendly and approachable

● Reliable, punctual and well presented

● Highly organised and able to multitask

● Comfortable using computers and learning new systems

● A confident and professional communicator

● Able to work independently and as part of a small team

● Passionate about helping people look and feel their best

● Someone who takes pride in their work and brings a positive attitude to the studio

Photography studio experience is an advantage but not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and is happy to contribute to different aspects of a busy, creative photography studio.

Pay: $26.44 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 15.0 per week

Willingness to travel:

75% (Required)
