Fuji SMBE Macquarie Pty. Ltd is a leading Australian designer & manufacturer of low voltage electrical switchboards.
We are looking for experienced Electrical Engineering Technicians
This is a 38hr full time, permanent role.
We are located in modern facilities at Prestons NSW.
To be considered for the position you must have Unrestricted Work Rights.
Hours: 7:00am to 3:06pm Monday to Friday (38hours per week)
Skills you need:
· Must have experience with Modular Switchboard assembly & schematic wiring.
· Attention to detail and strive to work with a high standard of workmanship.
· Work unsupervised & safely
· Must have good communication with a good understanding of written & verbal English
· Proficiency with electrical testing apparatus such as Multimeters, Insulation resistance testers, and Micro-ohm testers.
· Strong problem solving skills with the ability to fault find wiring schematics.
· Operation of workshop machinery and hand tools.
· Work Health & Safety policies.
· Understanding of Australian Standards and Energy Authority Rules
· Understanding of Fuji SMBE manufacturing & design practices.

What your tasks will be:
· Assembly of modular switchboard frames & cabinets including mounting of electrical components, installation of pre-fabricated busbars into the switchboards, and control wiring.
- Assembly & manufacture of switchboard to Energy Authority Rules, Australian Standards AS/NZS 61439 and AS/NZS 3000.
- Carry out visual checks, mechanical checks & electrical tests including Insulation resistance, continuity, polarity & functional tests, checking & verification on tightness of electrical connections on busbar connections & wiring terminations.
- Carry out Commissioning & configuration & setting of trip settings, configuration of Power monitors and communication protocols as required on switchboard components.
Pay: $76,600.00 – $79,000.00 per year
