About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing both online and face-to-face training for the Certificate III in Individual Support, including theoretical learning and practical clinical/personal care skills. You will demonstrate current industry knowledge and experience in at least two health and community services sectors, such as Aged Care, Disability Support, Community Services, Youth Work, or Mental Health.
A key focus of the role is supporting students to develop practical, industry-relevant skills and the confidence required to succeed in the workforce. Through engaging and effective training delivery, you will help learners build the capability needed to provide high-quality care and support in a range of community settings.
This is a full-time, campus-based position that requires regular on-site attendance to facilitate hands-on training, assessment, and student support.
About You
You have the ambition and drive to succeed and mentor your students, passing on your experience and knowledge. You will also have the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders including industry and students.
We are looking for a passionate and engaged individual who meets the following Essential Requirements:
- Minimum Certificate III qualification in Individual Support, Community Services, or a related Human Services field, or higher.
- Have a minimum of three years to five years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
- Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
- Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
