Full Job Description

John Blythe Child Psychology (JBCP) is a specialised child and family mental health service with two clinics across Sydney (Gledswood Hills and Blacktown). We provide evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and families in the context of their home, school and community.

We are seeking a Provisional Psychologist to join our team. This position is suitable for psychologists with provisional registration, including those completing the 5+1 internship pathway, who are lookign to build their clinical skills in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment with structured supervision.

You will work alongside experienced psychologists to deliver high-quality psychological services while developing competence across assessment, intervention, case formulation, and professional practice. This role includes in-person, school, home, and telehealth sessions as required.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based, developmentally appropriate psychological interventions for children and adolescents under appropriate supervision
Assist with psychological assessments and risk assessments in accordance with supervision requirements and clinical protocols
Develop treatment plans, behavioural support strategies, and goal-focused interventions with supervisory guidance
Prepare reports, letters, and recommendations for clients, families, and external stakeholders
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, schools, families, and other providers to coordinate care
Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation consistent with APS and company standards
Support booking, billing, and administrative processes in collaboration with Client Services staff
Participate in clinical supervision, case reviews, professional development, and quality improvement activities
Contribute to the ongoing development of clinical resources and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

Provisional registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
Suitable for psychologists completing the 5+1 internship pathway
Demonstrated interest in working with children, adolescents and families
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while developingincreasing independence in clinical practice
Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to provide required identification documentation
