We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and patient-focused Oral Health Therapist / Dental Hygienist to join our specialist orthodontic practice on a part-time basis.
As an integral member of our orthodontic team, you will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their treatment journey while promoting excellent oral health outcomes. We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic professional who enjoys building strong relationships with patients and their families and is committed to delivering exceptional care.
This position will initially be 1–2 days per week, with the opportunity to increase hours and potentially progress to a full-time role as the practice continues to grow.
About the Role
As an Oral Health Therapist / Dental Hygienist within our specialist orthodontic practice, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional patient care and creating positive experiences for children, adolescents, and their families
- Building strong relationships through excellent communication and customer service
- Supporting specialist orthodontists in the delivery of orthodontic treatment plans
- Taking clinical records including photographs, radiographs, and impressions for study models, working models, and clear aligner therapy
- Preparing patients for orthodontic procedures and adjustment appointments
- Educating patients on oral hygiene techniques and monitoring oral health throughout treatment
- Maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and sterilisation protocols
- Coordinating patient care and ensuring a smooth treatment experience from commencement through to completion
- Assisting with community engagement, referral network relationships, and practice growth initiatives
- Working alongside highly experienced specialist orthodontists in a modern and supportive environment
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A recognised qualification in Oral Health Therapy and/or Dental Hygiene
- Current AHPRA registration
- Previous orthodontic experience (essential)
- A genuine passion for patient care and delivering outstanding clinical outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- A positive, professional, and mature attitude
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
- Reliability, punctuality, and a collaborative team-focused approach
- The ability to commence training and onboarding in the near future
