We’re currently hiring for multiple café and hospitality outlets across Cairns Airport, including Waddi, Sugar & Cane and Mr Greens.

Are you our next Barista?
We’re looking for people who take pride in serving great coffee and creating a great experience for every customer.
Ideally, you’ll bring 1 – 2 + years’ experience in a busy café or specialty coffee environment, including experience with:
Espresso extraction and coffee preparation
Milk texturing and steaming
Latte art — desirable, but not essential
Dialling in coffee by adjusting grinder settings, dose and extraction
Working efficiently during busy periods
Providing friendly, genuine customer service

If you have a genuine passion for coffee, a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn, we're happy to train the right person on the job.

The hours
Our cafés operate across a wide range of trading hours, so you'll need to be comfortable working a rotating roster between 4:00am and 10:00pm, including weekends and public holidays.
Early starts are part of airport life — but they also come with additional penalty rates.

Skills and Experiences:
A few essentials
Because of the early starts and airport location, you must have:
A current RSA Certificate - Our cafes are licenced to sell alcohol
A current Driver Licence
Your own vehicle or reliable transport
The ability to get to Cairns Airport for early morning and late-night shifts — there is currently no public transport to the airport
You’ll also need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
We’re primarily looking for Cairns locals and candidates with long-term visa arrangements who can commit to at least 12 months of availability.
