Job Description
This role supports a growing interventional cardiology and vascular service, providing high-quality imaging for coronary and vascular procedures, while also contributing to theatre-based imaging and broader radiology services as required. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with VMOs, nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred care.
The role may also support the Radiation Safety Officer and contribute to radiation safety compliance across the service.
Key Responsibilities

Provide radiographic support across Cardiac Cath Lab procedures, including coronary and vascular interventions

Assist clinicians with intra-procedural imaging requirements to optimise outcomes

Support theatre-based imaging, including orthopaedic and other surgical services as required

Maintain safe radiation practices, including radiation dose monitoring and compliance
-
Ensure accurate documentation, image archiving and data management in line with hospital and regulatory requirements

Participate in radiation safety programs, audits and education, including supporting RSO responsibilities where required

Assist with equipment coordination, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Contribute to quality improvement, risk management and clinical governance activities

Support a flexible service model across Cath Lab, theatres and diagnostic imaging as required
About You
You are an experienced and motivated Radiographer who thrives in a high-acuity environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
You will have:

Current AHPRA registration and Radiation Use Licence
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Vascular Suite, or Interventional Radiology

Strong knowledge of imaging protocols, equipment operation, and radiation safety principles
-
Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
