$123,300 pa + 12% super (level 7) + a commuter use vehicle
72.5 hour fortnight
Location: Narangba
As the Fleet Workshop Operations Team Leader, you'll provide senior leadership and support across our three workshop locations, ensuring safe, effective and efficient workshop service delivery.
Working closely with Workshop Supervisors, you'll support and develop a team of tradespersons and apprentices while driving quality service outcomes and continuous improvement across Council's fleet maintenance operations.
Key responsibilities include:
developing leadership capability across Fleet workshop maintenance teams
supporting Workshop Supervisors to deliver safe, efficient and customer focused services
identifying, managing and resolving operational and financial performance issues across workshop operations
managing workshop operational budgets and resources
contributing to the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
building a safe, high performing and customer-focused team culture
building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
providing technical guidance and advice across workshop operations
participating in the after hours Fleet Services on-call roster as an escalation officer to fleet on call officers
About you
Ideally, you'll have demonstrated recent experience in a similar leadership role within a fleet, heavy vehicle or workshop operations environment.
You'll also bring:
strong experience leading and developing teams
extensive knowledge of workshop operations and fleet maintenance practices
experience in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of light, medium and heavy vehicles, plant and equipment
experience diagnosing and troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
strong people leadership skills with the ability to build capability and foster a positive team culture
demonstrated experience applying workplace health and safety legislation and practices within a workshop environment
well developed written and verbal communication and technology skills
Requirements
recognised trade certificate as a Heavy Vehicle Motor Mechanic/Diesel Fitter
current truck licence (minimum HR - heavy rigid)
Queensland Approved Examiners and Nominee Accreditation for Heavy Vehicles up to 16t, Heavy Trailers up to 10t, Ligth Commercial and Passenger Vehicles and Light Trailers up to 4.5t (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
