About Contract Logistics:
K&S Contract Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary of K&S Corporation, delivering end to end logistics solutions across a broad range of industries with a strong national footprint.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the customer site in Caboolture, co ordinating the daily driver runs, supporting site productivity and driving efficiency.
Being comfortable managing competing priories that change constantly and possessing the strong communication skills to keep the team moving forward, you will have the ability to anticipate issues and assist in problem solving to support top quality distribution.
From moving trucks around the yard or completing a delivery, to safety monitoring and administrative support, you will be a hands-on leader for this important customer contract, and show them why they continue to choose Contract Logistics to deliver their product.
You will:
Manage and co-ordinate drivers’ movements to deliver daily customer requirements of woodchips
Assisting with any preloading or customer deliveries when required
Manage the daily payroll of the team of drivers, data entry and completing paperwork
Being the first point of contact for any breakdowns, issues or incidents and assisting in the resolution
Overseeing both early morning shift and afternoon shifts and resolving any issues
Ensure correct compliance and processes are adhered to
Maintain a strong safety culture and compliance with NHVR & Mass/Maintenance management regulations
Lead and motivate team members to ensure maximum productivity
Communicate information to the customer and internal stakeholders regarding delivery completion and daily progress
Ensure equipment is serviced and repaired within site safety requirements
This role requires occasional after-hours support and a strong commitment to operational excellence.
What you’ll bring:
We’re looking for someone with experience in a transport environment with operational management, supervisor or fleet management experience that demonstrates their ability to manage multiple priorities.
You will have:
Experience in transport & logistics operations or fleet management
Strong knowledge of transport compliance and legislative requirements
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong customer focus and commercial awareness
