Description:
The Position

We are currently looking for an experienced, full-time Mechanic to join our small, friendly team, maintaining our large fleet of over 200 vehicles and plant equipment. This role is Monday to Friday 6am - approx. 3pm, with overtime and occasional weekend work.

Day to day you will:

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

Heavy Diesel Mechanic trade qualification
Minimum 3+ years experience as a mechanic
Valid Victorian HR license highly regarded
Ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team
Strong OH&S understanding
Experience working with civil construction machinery is highly regarded
