As an expanding private clinic of dedicated medical professionals, we are keen to engage in an exceptionally talented, experienced and motivated Medical Receptionist for our general practice situated in Echuca/Moama, situated along the banks of the mighty Murray River.

If you are dynamic, ambitious and driven by challenge to continue to develop and promote this already successful business, then this could be the ideal opportunity to become part of our team.

We are looking for a Casual Medical Receptionist to assist at our front desk on a daily basis and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Must be available Monday & Tuesdays.

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. Our Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organisation. You will welcome patients with a friendly greeting.

You will also assist our great reception team with front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence, managing all incoming calls and enquiries in a professional and welcoming manner.

To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require extra shifts at short notice so flexibility is a plus.

Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes all patients positively and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the clinic
Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
Invoicing / receipting

Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, email and faxing

To be successful in this role you must possess:
Experience as a Medical Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role is preferred, but not essential
A positive and organized attitude
Strong leadership and communication
A professional manner
The ability to use initiative and solve problems as they arise
Live in Australia

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
