Full Job Description

Perkins Builders is now seeking a Cadet or Graduate Contract Administrator to join our team at our head office in Bunbury. Suitable candidates will be currently studying a qualification in Construction Management or equivalent and may have some experience in the commercial construction industry.

THE ROLE

The preferred candidate will have the opportunity to develop in the following areas:

Work closely with the site managers surrounding all on-site activities and project management.
Establish, maintain and update all records of correspondence related to project activity.
Obtaining all permits and construction documentation and ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
Liaising with subcontractors to obtain the most competitive prices, placing orders and general issues regarding the project.
Prepare financial reports including cost forecasts, cash flow monitoring, budgets and variations and progress claims relative to the project.
Liaising with the client on a regular basis to keep them abreast of project progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
Comply with Perkins Builders Quality Assurance and Business Management System requirements.

THE CANDIDATE

To be considered for this role the preferred candidate will demonstrate experience in the following areas:

Currently studying or just completed a Construction Management or Quantity Surveying Tertiary Qualification preferred.
Experience in the commercial construction industry preferred.
A strong communicator with attention to detail.
An excellent time manager with the ability to develop and learn internal processes and procedures.
A valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and white card.
